Salary £52,659 per annum

Location: This is a home based role with regular national travel as required

About the Role

We are looking for an inclusive and collaborative leader to join our team as Community Events and Experiences Lead. This role will support the Events and Experiences Director in shaping and delivering a reimagined approach to community events, festivals and experiences at local, regional, national and international levels. You will play a key role in implementing the Events and Experiences Strategic Plan, ensuring our activities create meaningful impact and connection for all members of the gymnastics community.

Main areas of responsibility

  • Lead the strategic planning and operational delivery of community events and experiences, including national and international recreational experiences such as School Games, GymFusion, World Gym for Life, Euro Gym and Gymnastrada.

  • Oversee the development and commercial success of gymnast experience products and services (e.g. Rise Gymnastics) and future concepts.

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders including Sport England, FIG and other national bodies.

  • Line manage a diverse team including Events and Experiences Partners, Gymnast Experience Programme Manager and Events Manager.

  • Drive innovation and implement new ways of working to enhance member value and engagement.

  • Ensure events meet governance, compliance and quality standards, delivering exceptional experiences for all participants and audiences.

  • Develop insight-driven strategies to tackle inequality and promote inclusion across all events and experiences.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programmes, using data to inform continuous improvement.

  • Forecast and manage budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximise impact.

  • Proven experience in people and performance management, with a commitment to creating an inclusive environment.

  • Commercial acumen and experience managing budgets effectively.

  • Relationship-building and influencing skills at all levels.

  • Project management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work autonomously.

  • Knowledge of sporting structures from grassroots upwards, ideally with an understanding of gymnastics.

  • Ability to lead change and foster collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Communication skills, able to engage and inspire people from a wide range of backgrounds.

  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans aligned to organisational objectives.

  • Ability to resolve complex issues using data, stakeholder feedback and professional judgement.
